The Kuhl Triplets

These are the Kuhl triplets.  Gavin, Brodin and Trevin along with their mommy Kalie.  They are rare identical triplets born in May 2008.
Against all odds Kalie gave birth to rare identical triplets; Gavin, Brodin and Trevin. They were delivered May 20th 2008 at Rockford Memorial Hospital after surviving twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a rare and dangerous defect of the placenta. After weeks in the NICU they were finally all home. Then shortly after the boys turned 1...Kalie's husband Joshua, 33, a volunteer firefighter, Iraq war veteran, and wonderful father of their 15 month old triplet boys, died Aug 2 after a 5 day fight for his life after a tragic motorcycle accident on the ramp from Route 53 to I-290.

I found out about this family and their tragic story last night at our annual Peoria Mothers of Twins holiday party.  I can't stop thinking about Kalie and her three boys.  This story has touched my heart.  We raised over $300 last night for this family.  What a wonderful group of women you all are!  It's the giving season, so I thought I'd share this story with you.  It's their first Christmas without their daddy.....let's make it special...
