Yes, another OB appointment. I had my blood glucose test today. I won't get the test results until late next week. I've been praying it turns out to be fine. Kinda stressing about it a little : ( Babies are doing good, cervix still the same, no changes. She measured my uterus and I measure the same as a singleton 35 week pregnant woman would be. Holy cow!! She told us we could go out to breakfast this morning if my cervix was measuring long, but we passed. I've gotten this far......I don't want to do anything to jeopardize this pregnancy : ) This is a critical time for me right now......my OB cannot stress that enough. Besides...I'm usually pooped by the end of my appointments anyway! Alison was head butting my cervix today.......she wants to come out!! ha ha.
Well, I'm going to go sleep now......it is perfect weather for that. Thunder storming and raining......I'll sleep like a baby.

The Fun Perks of Bed Rest!
Bed rest isn't all fun and games ya know.....it comes with these great perks like muscle weakness (check), muscle pain (check), insomnia (check), backaches (check), joint pain (check), constipation (check).......yep, I've got all of the above!! My favorite one, as I write this blog, is the insomnia. It is 2:56am and I'm wide awake. Brian is sawing a major log in the other room and these babies are having a party in my belly - I must not have been invited. They are having a good ol' time right now.......holy cow!!!!! I would LOVE to know what's going through their minds and what they're doing in there. But they're all three awake and kicking me like there's no tomorrow. I woke up thinking there was someone in the house.......don't you hate that feeling? They've probably been scared away by the big grizzly in the other room.......at least I hope so.
Okay, I'm back now. I had to pee and shut the door to Brian's bedroom. I just couldn't take it anymore : ) Yes, my husband and I have our own bedrooms right now.........it's been like this since about.....ummmm......7 weeks into my pregnancy???? Yeah, that sounds about right. At first it was the morning, noon and night sickness and now that part is over.........it's just from being so darn uncomfortable. We've tried to sleep together a few times.....I've always ended up going into his bedroom to sleep. I just couldn't do it. I don't know what we're going to do when we have overnight company next month.......maybe I could get him to sleep on the floor. JUST KIDDING, I would NEVER make him do that : )
It's funny how we used to have magazines such as Playboy, People, US Weekly, Better Homes, etc. now you walk into the bathroom and all you see are Baby Talk, Parents, Triplet Connection. We've officially crossed over into that next chapter in our lives........loving every minute of it. Except for this part........bed rest. One would think that God would not make insomnia a part of bed rest.......especially when he knows what lies ahead.......sleepless nights........maybe he's preparing me for it.........okay..........I get it. So I guess the babies are awake right now preparing me for what lies ahead. Yep, I really get it now!
It's about 3:20 now and I'm running out of things to say. The babies are starting to settle down, although "Betty" is still kicking me......she's awfully restless. Now I've got to decide what I'm going to do. I just finished one of my books I was reading earlier tonight. Maybe I will start another one. Signing off. Hope everyone is sleeping right now and not awake like me! I can think of one person who is most likely awake right now...........you know who you are : )
Okay, now my dog is snoring really loud! I just can't get away from it. Maybe I could shoe him into Brian's room. They can saw away in there!!! Argh!

2 Months of Bed Rest............
I've heard some complaints from the peanut gallery over there at RLI........so I thought I'd better update my blog even though I've got nuttin' to talk about : ) Ya'll are just high maintenance......just kidding guys.........I wuv you.
I've been on bed rest now for 2 months. WOW! Time flies when we're having fun : ) I went on bed rest when I was 16 weeks 3 days and now I'm 24 weeks 2 days. Woo hoo! Never thought I'd see this day come. Only 4 more weeks until our first main goal....28 weeks! My ultimate goal is to make it to 34 weeks +. If my body cooperates, I know I can do it! I'm starting to feel pretty uncomfortable. So I need more ideas to help keep my mind off of how I feel. I sleep a lot more too........I'm developing three sets of lungs right now ya know! Takes a lot of out of a person : ) I've been absolutely bored out of my mind.
Anyway.......I took a couple of pics of Brian working on the nursery but he told me if I posted them on my blog he'd take my computer away........hee hee. He likes his pic taken about as much as I do!!!
My weekend was good. My MIL and SIL came over on Friday night. They brought over food and lots of other goodies, diapers, etc. Thanks guys! Brian went down to help my dad with the garage so my mom came up to "babysit" me on Saturday. My sis and her kids came over. Hadn't seen her in a while so it was nice to visit with them. Big thanks to my mom who made dinner for us Sunday evening. It was yummy! My MIL bought us our glider and nursery side table......once it's put together I will take a pic. Thanks grandma f : )
OMG, David Cassidy was on Oprah today.....HOLY COW he looks old! LOL.
The name Morgan won on the last poll. Still trying to decide what my next poll should be.
I know, pretty boring post.......but it's all I've got ; ) I think it's time for another interview....Nancy.

OB Appointment
Sorry I am just now posting my update. I haven't felt very well today. Happy to say my appointment went really well. My doc is VERY impressed with how well I'm doing. My cervix is still above 5 cm which is wonderful! It's staying closed - so the cerclage is doing it's job. All three babies heartbeats were in the 150's......so that is good too. My blood pressure was better than last time and I'm having very minimal swelling. I had to take my wedding rings off last week........or someone would have had to cut them off!! I will go back next week for my blood glucose test - and oh boy, does that orange stuff you have to drink look mighty tasty! ha ha. I am praying that turns out good.
She did tell me today that if my cervix stays above 3 cm by the time I am 28 weeks along, the chances of preterm labor significantly drop. That was reassuring. Only 4 more weeks to go until my 28 week goal.
My mother in law and sister in law are coming for a visit tomorrow. I'm very excited to see them, it seems like it's been forever since I've seen them!
oh yeah.....I almost forgot........I ALMOST beat Brian in Scrabble last night. That counts for something right? I wish someone would just LET me win. LOL He came up with a 52 point word!!!! I can't think of what word it was off the top of my head.......what a turd. I think he cheated.
That's all for now. Just going to watch tv the rest of the night. Maybe I can catch an episode of Kate and Allie : )

Coupons!!
Howdy all! Yes, I've been really bored today....so what do I do when I'm bored? I THINK ABOUT EVERYTHING!! LOL. Now that I'm stuck in bed and have to rely on everyone else.....I've decided to LET people help me when I need it and ASK people for help!!! I've been collecting coupons (mostly for diapers) but would like to ask everyone to help out. If you see coupons for diapers, or any other baby supplies......it would be much appreciated if you could save them for us and bring them over next time you visit : ) I'm in the process of getting things ready to send for free stuff for the babies.....trouble is, I have to prepare now, because in order to get free stuff, I need birth certificates.....argh! Yeah, I guess they don't hand out freebies to just anyone.....ha ha. So, I won't have much time after the babies are here to prepare, and I have all the time in the world right now....hee hee. Visitors....Visitors Everywhere!!!
Hey everyone! Hope you had a nice weekend! We've had lots of visitors since Thursday! It's been so nice to see everyone and it helps to keep me busy and pass the time. Melissa and Beth came over on Thursday.....they brought chinese take out from my favorite chinese place. Beth brought goodies from Apples Bakery - yum! We had a nice visit. Erica, Meg, Tommy and Nancy came over Friday afternoon. It was very nice to see them. Tommy kept us all entertained. We ate junk food and chit chatted all evening. Big thanks to Nancy who stayed to keep me company while Brian went to play softball. She's a trooper.....I know she was SO tired and could have gone home early. My mom came to stay with me on Saturday because Bri went down to help my dad build their new garage. Amy and Taylor came over on Saturday. They brought over two bouncy seats, and bumbo seat and a high chair. Thank you SO much! It was nice to see them!
So after all this excitement, needless to say, I was so tired on Sunday....so I slept a lot. Now I am really bored today!! ha ha.

Happy Birthday to the Daddy-To-Be
Happy birthday to the daddy-to-be! Today is Brian's 33rd birthday. I'm 6 months older than he is...... so now he's the "same" age as me - so he can't rub it in anymore now that he's 33! ha ha. His birthday meal choice is chicken fajitas - imagine that : ) I feel bad he has to make his own birthday meal! My mom is at the store right now picking up the stuff to make them - so at least he won't have to do that part!! Poor guy! He'll forget all about it when I let him beat me at a game of Scrabble tonight - HA HA HA!
I really need to stop watching these baby shows. I just saw an episode of Maternity Ward - argh! I don't like to think of what can happen - all the bad things : ( So, I've switched back to the Olympics which is what I should have been watching in the first place : )

Maternal Fetal Appointment - 22 Weeks
Just got back from my Maternal Fetal appointment. Another looong sonogram.......but I love to see the babies. Baby A was VERY active this morning. She didn't want to stay still for anything! Then they all started "playing" with eachother. Ha Ha. I thought it was cute.....but I'm sure it was starting to get difficult for the ultrasound tech. She was trying to look at their anatomy, etc. and they just weren't cooperating. My cervix is still measuring great. The babies weigh the following:
Baby A (girl) - 1 lb.
Baby B (girl) - 1 lb 5 oz.
Baby C (boy) - 1 lb. 1 oz.
They have doubled in size in a month....yippeeee! I'll have to get some belly pics posted. When I woke up this morning, I swear my belly had grown overnight!
I am pooped......signing off. Hugs to everyone!

Gifts - Thank You!
In addition to all of the used clothing we've received from (very generous) people.......here are some gifts we've received from family and friends. Thank you so much! It's finally starting to look more like a nursery with all this baby stuff!

The Nursery Has Been Painted!!!
I am excited to report that the nursery has been painted! A HUGE thanks to everyone who helped out and for all their hard work! It took 3 coats and 2 gallons of paint to cover the lavendar that was in there - but it looks GREAT! The only thing left is to paint trim and doors. I'll be sure to take more pics as it progresses. Brian plans on putting the crib together sometime this week. I've posted pics below. I had to use an old camera since Brian has the new one at work, so the quality of the pics aren't that great......but you get the idea.....hope you like it!

Six Little Feet Kicking Inside of Me........
Six little feet, 30 little fingers, 30 little toes, three mouths that hiccup, six elbows..........what a beautiful thing! All I can think about is how excited I am that six little feet are kicking me as I write this post. Yes. they're all awake! Doesn't happen too often, but, when it does......it's such a wonderful feeling! I have a feeling it will happen more often now that they're getting bigger and running out of room. They're probably fighting already like brothers and sisters and they're still in the womb!! Poor things! It bothers me to know how squished they are in there : (
Okay, no really, I use the word "little" but you know these babies are going to have HUGE feet/toes like their mama! Even the sonographer has made comments on how big their feet are! So darn cute! Love it!
Anyway, I am really bored. It's early, I can't sleep. The Olympics have started but there's nothing good on at the moment.....darn it! The opening ceremonies were awesome last night! I really enjoyed them. Yes, I know, you're thinking.....what a loser....on a Friday night! WELL, I don't have much of a choice right now. I'm a prisoner in my own home : )
I think the nursery is going to get painted this weekend! Woo Hoo! I finally picked out the color - let's see, it only took me.......5 months???? It's called Shortbread....aka......YELLOW. lol Hopefully it will look good. I'll have Brian take some pics to post when it's finished.
I can't wait for my baby showers! At least it's something to look forward to other than going to dr appts. The showers are here, for obvious reasons, but it will be SO nice to see everyone!! I still cannot believe it's August already!! Brian's birthday is next week. Some birthday he's going to have! Poor guy! I won't be able to cook for him or take him to his favorite restaurant. Maybe we'll play Scrabble......yeah.....that's what we'll do! Ha Ha Ha.
Some of you have been wondering about names for the babies. We are still undecided about the other girl. My mom feels sorry for her because that's what I've been calling her. She thinks she might develop a complex! So we must come up with a name for Baby B!!!!! Baby A is going to be Alison and Baby C is going to be Nolan. As far as the "other girl" I was thinking either Kate or Morgan. But I'm really struggling with this one!!! I've always known I wanted to use Alison......but I guess I never thought I'd have to come up with TWO girl names! hee hee I know it's a personal decision in the end, but these darn baby name books can be a little overwhelming to say the least!
Well, no post would be complete without telling everyone about my visitors and my ass kickings at board games. Nancy came over yesterday........she kicked my ass not once, but twice at Scrabble! I need someone to purchase a new dictionary for me so I can start kicking some ass!!! I love her company! So nice to have people over.....I get really SUPER DUPER lonely ya know!
I thought for sure the stooges would be asleep by now, but Alison is kicking away! She's going to be an early riser. I think she's practicing kickboxing in there or something! Little stinker!

OB Appt.
Not much to report........my appointment was pretty uneventful. Babies heartbeats all look great. I can't believe how big they're getting. My blood pressure is good. And my cervix looks WONDERFUL! It gets better every time I go in. All this lying around must be doing its job!! woo hoo! Still on strict bed rest. But I'm sure that will change in a month or so....hopefully. She told me I need to start gaining more weight. Never thought anyone would ever say that to me! lol.
My MIL came over this weekend. She bought a bunch of clothes for the babies. They are adorable! Thanks, "grandma".
Not much else to report. Just normal aches, pains and discomforts of being pregnant. Although I don't think I'm even close to hitting the most uncomfortable point yet......something to look forward to! ha ha.
My mom is coming over tomorrow - I can't wait to see her. Maybe I can talk her into playing a game of Scrabble with me.......hmmmmm : ) Even though I felt HORRIBLE last night, Bri and I still played two games of Scrabble! ha ha. I told him to get ready for me to kick his butt tonight, but he told me he had to do some other things around the house, so he wouldn't be able to play : ( Oh well. I guess someone has to do housework around here!!! ha ha.

My MIL came over this weekend. She bought a bunch of clothes for the babies. They are adorable! Thanks, "grandma".
Not much else to report. Just normal aches, pains and discomforts of being pregnant. Although I don't think I'm even close to hitting the most uncomfortable point yet......something to look forward to! ha ha.
My mom is coming over tomorrow - I can't wait to see her. Maybe I can talk her into playing a game of Scrabble with me.......hmmmmm : ) Even though I felt HORRIBLE last night, Bri and I still played two games of Scrabble! ha ha. I told him to get ready for me to kick his butt tonight, but he told me he had to do some other things around the house, so he wouldn't be able to play : ( Oh well. I guess someone has to do housework around here!!! ha ha.

It's Official....I'm Addicted to Scrabble!!
My SIL, Karen came over yesterday. She brought lots of goodies and dusted for us. Big thanks to you! We had a great time. The three of us played a game of Scrabble. I lost, of course, Karen kicked both of our butts. So after she left, Brian and I decided to play so we could beat her the next time she came over! We ended up playing Scrabble all night!!! I'm getting better now......I'm ready to kick butt tonight! Getting ready to hop in the shower, I have an OB appt. at 4:00 today. Can't wait to see how the babies are doing! I will fill you in on my appointment either after I get back or sometime tomorrow. Hugs and kisses to all!

Jibber Jabber
Yesterday was the first day I can honestly say was the first time I had this HUGE desire to have my babies here with me. I think it's finally sinking in that I'm pregnant......it only took 5 months, but hey! Maybe because they're getting bigger and I've grown so attached to them. I'm getting tears in my eyes just thinking about how lucky I am. I cannot wait for the day I get to see them and hold them. I need to stop watching those darn "Baby Story" shows on TLC because I get so emotional and it makes me want to see them even more. I really hope these next few months go really fast!! I've been sleeping like crazy lately! It really passes the day by! ha ha.
My mom came over yesterday. She cleaned and did laundry for us. She brought us lasagna for dinner - let me tell you.....I GRUBBED! And then I paid for it afterwards, but it was worth it. Thank goodness for my mama! It really helps Brian out (and me too, of course). Thanks mom, I love you!!!!
Sounds like we'll be getting lots of visitors this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it. Brian is good company and all.....but it's nice to see another face every now and then! Kind of like my dogs......they are SO excited to see ANYONE other than myself! I'm old news to them.....they have to look at me all day long....they want company too! Who can blame them?
